Yummy Winter Comfort Foods<\/h1>\n

It\u2019s Mid January here at <\/span>The Storage Inn in Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey<\/span><\/a>, and there have been some very cold days lately, but that doesn\u2019t stop our storage rental customers<\/a> from shuttling in and out of their<\/span> storage spaces<\/span><\/a>. <\/span><\/p>\n

Lately I\u2019ve noticed people storing holiday decorations, as well as removing exercise equipment, presumably in an effort to renew their commitment to better health in the new year.<\/span><\/p>\n

Earlier this week, on a particularly cold day, one of our customers, Jodi, stopped into the storage rental office to purchase \u00a0<\/span>moving boxes<\/span><\/a> for the items that she was putting into her storage unit. <\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cCold enough for you?\u201d I asked. <\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m freezing\u201d she answered\u00a0 \u201cI can\u2019t wait to get home and have a nice bowl of hot soup!\u201d she said as she took her boxes and headed to her car. <\/span><\/p>\n

Her soup sounded really good to me, so I decided to do a thoroughly unscientific polling of our customers as to their favorite winter comfort foods. <\/span><\/p>\n

Here some of our Storage Inn customer favorites!<\/span><\/p>\n

Soup<\/strong> –\u00a0<\/b>Of course! Who doesn\u2019t love a hot bowl of soup on a cold winter\u2019s day?\u00a0 The two favorites seem to be chicken noodle, and tomato.<\/span><\/h2>\n

Favorite Winter Comfort Foods<\/p><\/div>\n

Hot Chocolate<\/b> \u2013 Mmmmmm. The real chocolaty kind with the tiny little marshmallows floating on top!\u00a0 Not surprisingly, this one was offered up by one of our customer\u2019s children.<\/span><\/h2>\n

Fried Chicken and Mashed Potatoes<\/b> \u2013 Yes, please! \u2013 Make my chicken extra crispy!<\/span><\/h2>\n

Grilled Cheese<\/b> \u2013 Cooked just right, so that the gooey cheese stretches \u00a0between the two halves when you pull the sandwich apart!\u00a0 These people should get together with the soup people.<\/span><\/h2>\n

Sloppy Joes<\/b> \u2013 Well, a burger is just a burger, but a sloppy joe, with a slice of American cheese \u2013 Now that\u2019s comfort food!<\/span><\/h2>\n

Macaroni and Cheese <\/b>\u2013 The cheesier the better \u2013 BTW goes well with sloppy joes!<\/span><\/h2>\n

Chicken Pot Pie<\/b> \u2013 One of my favorites! I like mine with salt and pepper and a little bit of butter melted on the crust. Mmmmmm!<\/span><\/h2>\n

Spaghetti and Meatballs<\/b> \u2013 A good choice any time of year, but really goes well at the end of a cold day spent outside.<\/span><\/h2>\n

Chili<\/b> \u2013 There\u2019s nothing like a simmering pot of chili. Whether you like it hot or mild, with meat or without, the combination of beans, onions, peppers, mushrooms and spices are impossible to resist when you\u2019re cozy at home and it\u2019s chilly outside.<\/span><\/h2>\n

Homemade Beef Stew<\/b>\u00a0 \u2013 You know the type that simmers in the giant stew pot all day long, until the flavors of the beef, vegetables, and spices are mixed just right. Don\u2019t forget the buttered rolls!<\/span><\/h2>\n

Well, there you have it \u2013 The official <\/span>Storage Inn<\/span><\/a> customer list of their favorite Winter Comfort Foods. <\/span><\/p>\n

Well, my shift is almost over, and I can\u2019t wait to head home, but first I’ll be stopping off at the grocery store for Sloppy Joe mix, rolls, and hot chocolate \u2013 so much for my New Year\u2019s diet!<\/span><\/p>\n
